Mara Bush Camp

We have spent four fabulous days at Mara Bushcamp. The staff was enormously friendly, the food was great, the tents luxurious and very homey and our guide (Ken) fantastic. We really enjoyed to stay with Sunworld Safaris and the Mara Bushcamp - we'll be back again for sure (although we saw them all already - them = the animals!)
Danke für vier wunderbare, interessante und spannende Tage im Mara Bushcamp. Das Team ist einfach fantastisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen, Getränke (sogar Kenianischer Wein, und ein guter noch dazu) und die Ausstattung des Zelts, die Lage des Camps und die besondere Stimmung - einfach toll! Ein besonderer Dank geht (neben Sabine) an unseren Fahrer/Guide Ken - er war unglaublich informiert, hilfsbereit, organisiert und nett! Danke vielmals - wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Eurem Camp. Die Betreuung durch das ganze Team war ausgezeichnet. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Alle Mitarbeiter des Camps leisten eine sehr gute Arbeit. Eine Campmanagerin wie Sabine findet man sehr selten. Sie macht weit mehr als einen guten Job. Auch kleine Sonderwünsche wurden mit einem Lächeln erfüllt. Man kann den Service des Camps mit einem 5*-Hotel vergleichen.

Liebes Team, liebe Sabine,
interessante, aufregende und luxuriöse Tage haben wir mit den beiden großen Mädchen Isabelle und Caro bei Euch verbracht. Die Küche und der Service überall war hervorragend (lecker kenianischer Rotwein!).
Und liebe Sabine, der spontane "Blick" hinter die Kulissen eines eco-Camps war sehr informativ. Danke.
Herzlichen Dank nochmals für die Gastfreundschaft. Wir werden die Kenia-Reise bestimmt noch lange in Erinnerung behalten. Danach ging es ja für die Weihnachtstage nach Kisumu....

Die 5 Tage im Camp waren für uns als Ostafrika-Neulinge wirklich ein tolles Erlebnis! Die fantastische Lage des Camps, die wirklich gute Betreuung von allen Beteiligten und deine profunde Sachkenntnis als Afrikakennerin machen Lust auf mehr! Vielen Dank für die wunderbaren Tage!

Mara Bush Camp is just as beautiful and as exciting as we expected it to be. The location is perfect and the staff is not only extremely friendly but also extremely efficient and helpful. This is Africa as we like to imagine it to be in our safari dreams - and it feels very good. Alas (and I say it as someone who spent his first night in the Mara early 1980 and has returned ever since although not in regular intervals) there are indicators of increasing pressure of all sorts on the land and on the game. But this goes far beyond the responsibilities of the Mara Bush Camp.

Here everything still has the look and feel of the good old days combined with modern luxury. Great beds, great showers, great toilets and, last but not least, great food and lots of cold Tusker beer. We have been there as a family (2 adults and 2 daughters aged 9 and 11) in October and we enjoyed every minute.

Our whole trip out of Nairobi was extremely well organized by Sunworld Safaris. I used to be a Kenya expatriate resident for 5 years in the 80s and I have accumulated some experience in travelling in and beyond East Africa: This was definitely the best. A special Thank You goes to Sabine, the Camp Manager: We loved being your guests. And another Thank You goes to our Driver/Guide David Karanja who sees and knows almost everything and who, being himself a father, was particularly good with the children.

We would love to come back to Kenya - if it were to happen we sureley would return to Mara Bush Camp. And to those readers who have not yet been there: I know it sounds unbelievable, but the camp is really as good as everyone writes in this guest book.
